Workshop – Saturday 5th July, 2008 - 10am to 5pm

“Getting the Supervision you Want & Need”

Facilitated by Penny Henderson

The day will aim to encourage students and newly qualified counsellors to identify what they might individually and uniquely seek from supervision, to negotiate to get it, and to do their part in building a working alliance.

Some practice in ethical problem solving should build confidence in sharing concerns about mistakes and difficulties.

The aim is that by the end of the day, participants should be clearer about the benefits supervision may offer to them at this stage in their development, and the active nature of their role in seeking them.

About the facilitator:

Penny Henderson, BA., MSc. Dip.Couns; Dip Adv. Couns. Dip in group based parent education, is an accredited counsellor, accredited supervisor and Fellow BACP. She is currently writing a book reflecting on supervision practice, editing another about supervision training and engaged in a research project about the supervisory needs of experienced counselors

Penny and Anthea Miller – as “Cambridge Supervision Training” - offer a Certificate in Adlerian Integrative Supervision in Cambridge with two Adlerian colleagues.

Venue:
Manor Barn House, Water Stratford, Buckingham MK18 5DS

£40.00 (free to Bucks Adlerian Training students).
